Jae C. Steele plays a self-taught brand of contemporary/country blues, folk, pop, originals, and her own, sometimes very unique, interpretions of cover songs. Despite possessing hands the size of an eight-year-old, she takes on the music of James Taylor, Lindsey Buckingham, and John Fahey, to name a few of the artists that have influenced her work. Steele's bluesy vocals fall into the junction of Peggy Lee, Bonnie Raitt, a little Joni, and Leon Redbone, and her upbeat delivery has been pleasing audiences throughout New England for many years.
She is currently working on a CD, which will be recorded in Nashville this autumn, and will be making limited appearances beginning in Spring, 2010.
